Congratulations to ESSIE’s Dr. Timothy Townsend for receiving a 2018 University of Florida Research Foundation (UFRF) professorship.

The UFRF professorship was created to recognize faculty who have established a distinguished record of research and scholarship that is expected to lead to distinction in their field.

Towsend is a Jones Edmunds Professor of Environmental Engineering in ESSIE’s Department of Environmental Engineering Sciences. He is a professional engineer in the state of Florida and specializes in solid and hazardous waste management.
