Sara Behdad is an associate professor at the Engineering School of Sustainable Infrastructure & Environment. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. Her research focuses on sustainable design, e-waste management, process modeling, decision analysis, and product lifecycle engineering.

Dr. Eric Jing Du is a professor in the Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering at UF. Before joining academia, he was a senior data analyst at Zachry Industrial. Dr.Du received his PhD degree in construction from Michigan State University (2012) and bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (2004) from Tianjin University in China. His current research interests focus on the development of the next generation Intelligent Information Systems for future Civil Engineering works.…

Steven Laux joined UF in January 2017 after a 32-year career as a civil engineer, practicing in the fields of solid waste management system design and infrastructure design for the aerospace industry. He teaches courses in solid waste systems design, containment system design, civil engineering practice and construction engineering design. His research has focused on sustainable materials management, including beneficial reuse, recycling and municipal solid waste landfill topics.…

Dr. Najafi, received his BS, MS and Ph.D. in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a UF professor in the Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering.
