Advising

At the graduate level, students are advised by the faculty in their chosen department and/or within a specific specialization area if it applies.

Graduate students generally take 9 credits per semester during the Fall and Spring and 6 credits in the summer. Graduate level courses are always ###5000 or higher. For work outside the major, courses numbered 3000 or above (not to exceed 6 credits) may be taken if they are part of an approved plan of study.

There are some exceptions to this so check with the appropriate personnel listed under ESSIE Graduate Administration for clarification.
