UF Civil Engineering Associate Professor Denise R. Simmons has been selected as a recipient of Clemson University’s 2019 Glenn Department of Civil Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award.

Dr. Simmons was selected due to her contributions, achievements and accomplishments in civil engineering. Dr. Simmons received her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree in civil engineering along with a graduate certificate in engineering education from Clemson University.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to two recipients a year, and it is the highest honor bestowed by Clemson University’s Department of Civil Engineering to its alumni.

Dr. Simmons will receive a plaque and recognition at the Department’s Honors and Awards Banquet on Friday, April 12, at Clemson University.
