Chamteut Oh received his B.S. and M.S. degree from Seoul National University, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He worked as an environmental engineer for two years and conducted research at the Korean Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources for six years. With an interdisciplinary background in environmental microbiology and geochemistry, his research interests lie in protecting public health and the economy from microbial threats in the environment.
