Dr. Robert Thieke has worked at the University of Florida for over 29 years in the areas of coastal engineering and civil engineering hydraulics. He served 9 years as the Graduate Coordinator of the Coastal & Oceanographic Engineering program, and has for the last 12 years been the Undergraduate Coordinator and major Advisor of the Civil Engineering program. Also for the past 8 years he has been the Department Head for the Civil & Coastal Engineering Department.
